Introduction:

" There's a table to seat 8 of course that's only when we fancied eating in doors - the tanning fiends basked by the private pool while others barbecued on the undercover terrace and the sun shy revelled in long breakfasts on the shaded veranda."

" One cool afternoon we visited Barcelona and sipped cool drinks and coffee on La Rambla, a bustling avenue full of vivid colours, then we took in the sights and the wonderful Gothic architecture of this marvellous Mediterranean city."

" The nicest part is returning to the Villa. Having to keep away from a B & B all day when you are travel - weary is no fun and hotel's just don't make financial sense for large families - a Villa preferably one as beautiful and enormous as Villa Rosa is the perfect solution."

Location:

Villa Rosa is located within The Golden Triangle 1 Km from the town of Santa Cristina D’Aro. Sant Feliu De Guixols is 10 minutes driving to the East and Platja D’Aro lies about 15 minutes driving to the North East. S’Agaro ( holiday residence of The King Of Spain ) is located between Sant Feliu De Guixols and Platja D’Aro.

The surrounding countryside is green and pretty, the coast has lots of coves and small resorts. Nearby Sant Feliu is not a big resort and has a feeling of real Spain. The people are welcoming and genuinely child friendly. The food is good, local and fresh, and the wines are delightful. Don't expect English teas or fish and chips - those are for the big resorts. Sant Feliu is for Spain and the people who like 'things Spanish'.

There are many good restaurants in the area which boast excellent cuisine, there are two Golf Clubs very close to Villa Rosa, Mas Nau Golf Club is to the North and The Costa Brava Golf Club is to the South, both clubs are just a short drive away, see below.

Barcelona lies 100 Kms South and Figures ( Salvadore Dali Museum ) is about 50 Kms to the North West. Girona is only 25 Kms to the West.

Vallter 2000 a popular Ski Resort is 160 Kms to the North West, this resort is close to Camprodon in the Pyrenees Mountains. During Winter it is possible to enjoy Skiing using Villa Rosa as a base for day trips.
